Terms of use

Last updated 25 August 2026

These are the terms you agree to by using TowXperts's booking system. They cover the site: opening an account, requesting a tow, and paying for one. Plain English on purpose — if any of it is unclear, ring us and ask before you rely on it.

Your account

Give us details that are true and keep them current — we use your phone number to reach you about a tow that is happening today. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us at once if you think somebody else has it.

You are responsible for what is done through your account. If more than one person at your business needs access, ask us and we will set them up with their own login rather than have a password shared around.

Requesting a tow

A request is a request, not a booking. The office reads it, sets a day, and confirms — you get an email and a text when that happens. Nothing is agreed until then.

Marking a request an emergency does not guarantee anything. It goes to the office for a call back about whether it can be fitted in, and if we make time outside business hours or outside our availability there may be an additional charge — we will tell you what it is before anybody sets off. Emergency tows are not prepaid; they are invoiced once the work is done.

Tell us the truth about the equipment, particularly its weight and whether it runs, rolls or has keys. It decides which truck and trailer we send. If what we find on site is not what was described, we may not be able to move it that day, and a wasted trip may be charged for.

By booking you confirm you own the equipment or are entitled to have it moved, and that the driver will be able to reach it.

What it costs

You see the price before you send the request, worked out by the same rules we bill by. There are two:

  • Flat rate — $300, $350 if the equipment stands on steel tracks. When both the pickup and the drop-off are inside our local service area and the equipment is 4,000 lbs or under. This is the whole price and it is settled before the tow happens.
  • Hourly — $150 per hour, with a $300 minimum — $350 if the equipment stands on steel tracks. Everything else. The final total is worked out after the tow, from the hours recorded by the driver or the office. You will not be billed less than the minimum. Steel tracks move that floor and not the rate — the hour is the same hour whatever the machine stands on.

No sales tax is added to either. If you change a request before it is scheduled, the price is worked out again from the new details — moving a drop-off outside the service area can turn a flat rate into an hourly job, and we will show you that before you save.

Changing or cancelling

While a tow has not been scheduled it is yours to change or cancel from your own screens, and we are told the moment you do. Once a day has been set, a driver's route depends on it — ring (413) 271-7322 and the office will sort it out.

We may cancel a tow ourselves — weather, a breakdown, or equipment we cannot safely move. We will tell you as soon as we know, and anything you have prepaid for a tow we do not carry out is refunded in full.

Paying

A flat-rate tow can be paid by card when you book it. Anything else is invoiced once the tow is done, and the invoice is due by the date printed on it. We send reminders while an invoice is unpaid.

You may choose to keep a card on file. If you do, you are agreeing that we may charge it for future tows once the invoice is final — never before the work is done, and you get a receipt every time. You can remove the card from the Account screen whenever you like, and that stops any future automatic charge.

Your equipment while we have it

The driver photographs the equipment at pickup and at drop-off. That record is what we both rely on if there is ever a question about the condition it was in, so look at it.

If something goes wrong during a tow, tell us straight away — the same day where you can. Ring the office; do not leave it in a note on the system, because a note is not read as quickly as a phone rings.

Using this site properly

  • Use it for your own tows, for your own business.
  • Do not try to reach anybody else's account or information.
  • Do not upload anything you have no right to upload.
  • Do not attempt to break, overload or work around the site's security.

We may suspend an account that is being used this way, or one with an invoice long overdue. We will tell you why.

What the site is, and is not

This site is how you book and follow a tow. The tow itself is a service we carry out, and the arrangements for it are between you and us — a status on a screen is a report of what is happening, not a promise on its own.

We work to keep the site available and correct, but we cannot promise it will never be down or never be wrong. If it matters and it is urgent, ring us — the phone is the system that always works.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and any dispute belongs in the courts of Massachusetts.

Changes, and getting in touch

If we change these terms we will change the date at the top, and we will tell you about anything that materially affects what you have already booked.

Questions about any of this: (413) 271-7322 or towxperts@gmail.com. How we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy.
