The street decides the distance, so a price is only as exact as the address it was given — a town on its own is priced from the middle of that town.
Where it is going
Same again for the other end. Both ends decide the distance, and both decide whether the flat rate applies.
What is being moved
What it stands on, what it weighs and how wide it is are what pick the rate.
Anything over 25 tons is oversized whatever it measures, so we do not need the width.
Over 8.5 ft (102 in) is priced as oversized whatever it stands on. Nobody has to measure it — say you don’t know and pick the side of the line it falls on.

Flat rate applies when both addresses are inside the local service area. Everything else is priced by the hour, with no town limits at all. Equipment over 102 inches wide or over 25 tons is priced as oversized either way, and each address has to be within 100 miles of us in a straight line.
